Qatar Integrated Railway Project
The Qatar National Vision aims to transform Qatar into and advance country by 2030, capable of sustaining its own development and providing for a high standard of living for all of its people for generations to come. The Doha Metro is an integral part of the Qatar Rail Development Program (QRDP). Consisting of 4 lines, the Metro network will cover the Greater Doha area and will include connections to town centres and vital commercial and residential areas throughout the city. In central Doha, the Metro will be underground, whilst at the outskirts;it will mainly be the ground level or elevated.
Gold Line (Historic Line):
The largest single construction package of the Doha Metro. It traverses Doha from East to West.
The Gold Line will connect the airport's northern part with Souq Waqif, Msheireb, Bin Mahmoud, Al Sadd and Al Waab. The project includes 32-km of bore tunnelling with a diameter of six meters, tunneling lined with approximate 128,000 segments, six tunnel boring machines (TBMs) utilities simultaneously, 13 underground stations fitted out with high-end finishes and state of the art mechanical,engineering and plumbing (MEP) system, 2.5 million cubic meter of excavations for the stations and one million cubic meters of concreting. the project also includes traffic and utilities diversions.
Red Line (Historic Line):
The Red Line, offers a very convenient and reliable alternative to driving within the heart of the capital. A trip from the airport to Lusail, currently taking nearly an hour and a half at peak traffic time, will be a short 36 minutes trip with the Doha Metro creting. The Project also includes traffic and utilities diversions.

Green Line (Historic Line):
The Green Line runs east from Al Riffa to Al Mansoura in the west. Because it passes through Education City, the line is also known as the Education Line. There are eight stations along this line:
